Natural Standard Adds Healthy Recipes

Natural Standard recently added a Healthy Recipes database to their clinical decision support tool. You will find the recipes on the “TOOLS” pull-down at NaturalStandard.com .  


What makes the recipe database special is the ingredients link to their respective Natural Standard monographs. This allows clinicians to easily check for drug interaction, safety and allergy information when recommending these tasty meals. This is also a wonderful reference for planning healthy family meals. Check out chicken and artichokes with pasta to see how these recipes work.

Natural Standard was founded by clinicians and researchers to provide high quality, evidence-based information about complementary and alternative therapies. This data base has an A – Z listing of Foods, Herbs, and Supplements that will provide you with in-depth, evidenced-based information on herbal medicines including uses, dosing recommendations, scientific evidence, safety, interactions, and references.

Natural Standard now links to full-text in Pubmed

Natural Standard, a complimenary and alternative medicine database, supports their findings with links to the research. An update to the Natural Standard software now allow access to the full text content of journals at Ministry Health Care.


How it works:

• The foot-note numbers and reference lists, have links to the Article Abstracts.
• Click on the Article Abstract link, and you will go to Pubmed.
• Scroll to the bottom of the abstract, look for the Ministry Health Care Logo or the Badgerlink Logo which indicate the full-text is available.
• Click on the Logo to access the full-text.
